Walmart Foundation Gives $15,000 Grant to House of Hope Rescue Mission

November 6, 2017 – House of Hope Rescue Mission is pleased to announce it has received a $15,000 grant from the Walmart Foundation. Funding from this grant will support the House of Hope Rescue Mission feed the hungry and assist the homeless in Northwest Arkansas.
The House of Hope Rescue mission provides for the basic needs of the homeless and needy in
Northwest Arkansas. Funding from this grant will help provide for the basic needs of individuals
visiting the House of Hope Rescue Mission, by supporting our hot meal program. This program
serves a hot meal to those in need twice a week. On average 300 people visit the House of Hope in
search of a hot meal each week. The need for nutritional meals within our community continues to
grow. We anticipate serving 10,000 hot meals to those in need in 2017.

“We are extremely thankful to the Walmart Foundation for their support of the House of Hope Rescue
Mission Hot Meal Program.  The monies received from this grant will help insure that no one who
comes in search of a meal goes hungry.” says Rhonda Landreth, board President.

“We are honored to collaborate with House of Hope as they continue to expand their recovery
program and increase the number of meals for the community,” said Erin Hogue, Walmart
Foundation. “This support will help with the purchase of a commercial refrigerator, freezer and
warming unit to support their Food Recovery Program.”
