Our Story

I Love My Church… because we CARE!!! from New Hope Fellowship on Vimeo.

The House of Hope Rescue Mission is a ministry of New Hope Fellowship Church.  At 505 E Emma in Springdale, it was started to meet the needs of the hungry, needy, and homeless in Northwest Arkansas!  We provide showers, laundry facilities, food pantry, clothing room, help with jobs and counseling, Bible study, and hot meals, all at no charge to clients. We are a largely volunteer run organization.

We are growing!  We serve around 300 – 400 clients a week.  We’re open Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00-2:00.  People can come in during those hours to get out of the heat or cold, have snacks, water and coffee throughout the day, and eat a hot meal at 11:00 on Wednesday and Friday.  They can get help with their problems, job searches, meet with a Social Worker or just see a familiar, smiling face, and visit with a friend!  We serve people from all walks of life. In a visit to House of Hope, one is likely to hear 3 or 4 languages!  We have many children especially during the summer, but during the school year, we still have many preschoolers who visit on a regular basis. We have several pregnant Moms at any given time.  Some clients live outside, some live in a car or other alternative housing, as a friend or relative’s home, or a hotel.  Some have a house or apartment, but just need help with making ends meet.  We meet clients needs wherever they are.  No one is ever turned away.

The House of Hope is also a referral source.  If there are items people need that we don’t provide, we have a referral book we use to find them help.  Also, we are tied into a data base with the United Way and Hark with the Center for Collaborative Care of thousands of agencies that can help with their needs right in our area!
House of Hope is in need of more volunteers!  We need counselors, coaches, translators, and food workers.  See our “Volunteer” page for all of the ways you can help!  You can make a financial donation by clicking on this webpage also!

Keeping the food pantry stocked is one of the biggest needs we have.  We are willing to partner with other churches and businesses in our area to help meet the needs in NWA!  If you have an idea, contact the director through this website!
